The University of Management, Economics and Finance (UMEF), Geneva, Switzerland continues in its strong support for Dunya Institute for Higher Education (DIHE) Kabul, Afghanistan. The objective of this partnership between the two universities is for UMEF to transmit and share its long-standing educational experience developed over the past 26 years with DIHE and the people and the leaders of tomorrow in Afghanistan.
Our aim is to encourage exchange visits by professors, faculty members, professionals and scientists between establishments, focusing mainly on lecturing, research and academic programs including joint conferences and seminars but also allowing for an exchange of views and a first-class opportunity to teach and learn about different cultures.
It is our belief that knowledge and skills are the most important resources for managers and business organizations and the programs at DIHE are designed to meet these requirements in order for our graduates to create and run a successful organization or company in a constantly changing environment.
Every organization, regardless of its size and structure and the products and services offered, needs its decision-makers to be ready and able to meet the challenges of the global economy. This requires a broad-based leadership development program that focuses on:
• Ethical responsibility
• An understanding of the complex issues faced by contemporary organizations
• The vision to find solutions consistent with its organizational mission and values
• The necessary skills to initiate and bring about organizational change
We believe that leadership is based on who you are not solely on what you do and this is why our program focuses on integration and synthesis — blending life and work experience with structured classroom interaction.
Once again, we express our pride in our close collaboration with the Dunya Institute for Higher Education and its specialists.
